
SOE is a South Australian company established in 1977. We specialise in the supply of complete computer solutions to the Professions and to Commerce and Industry - hardware, software, training and after-sales support. We have installed over five hundred computer systems and business growth has resulted in the employment of fifteen staff and the appointment of a network of dealers throughout Australia.
We specialise in multi-terminal solutions with state-of-the-art hardware technology and application software tailored to user requirements. We tailor the software to meet the requirements of the user rather than force the user to change their operations to suit the computer system. By utilising the Global System Manager, SOE software runs in sigle-user, multi-user or networked configurations with many operting environments - WindowsNT, Windows, Novell, SCO UNIX, AIX and DOS. SOE is fully compatible with industry-standard personal computers and IBM-compatible computers. SOE may be installed as a single-user system and later upgraded to a multi-user system when required.
Each SOE terminal may run up to nine tasks simultaneously so that while one task is being performed the user may switch to another and run it at the same time. For example, while entering sales invoices an operator may switch to an account enquiry screen to answer a telephone enquiry, then switch straight back to invoice entry. In comparison with other software systems, SOE software is highly effective with minimal resources. A typical system with eight screens runs in a standard PC with only 640kB of memory.

The system copes with multiple doctors and surgeries, an unlimited number of patients and item codes, up to nine fee scales per item code, automatic patient recall, custom-designed invoices, printed Medicare claims, the reconciliation of Medicare bulk-bill batches, label printing, account-rendered notices, work cover claims, insurance company billing, comprehensive reports, electronic appointments diary and integrated word processing.
